We are sorry to inform family and friends know that our Chris Vaneltsi has passed away in Vancouver, BC.

Chris is the great grand son of the late Lucy Vaneltsi of Fort McPherson, and the grand son of Mary & Pierre Decker of Whitehorse.

Christopher’s mother, Martha has now lost 2 sons in the span of 16 months, with

Her remaining children, Daughters Mariza and Lucy and grandson Leo who Chris adored.

The Family of Chris also send prayers and condolences to the people in the NWT who also have experienced losses recently.

Martha and her family need help with prayer and financial aid for the following:

Air fare for immediate family to Vancouver

Food and Accomidations

taxi/bus fare

Travel for Chris’s last trip home

Funeral expenses and clothing for Chris

U-haul expenses for his belongings

Gas and possible maintanace for help that is on route from Alberta

Chris always had kind, encouraging words and was on a journey of healthy life. He stopped drinking about 10 years ago.

Chris loved all his family, especially his Grandma who he called often.

He had lots of love for all his cousins, especially Martina Amos and her family. When they still lived in The Yukon he practically lived at their place.

Thank you for reading this, as it is hard to write, and we know that Chris is not in pain anymore. We are all in shock, as it was very unexpected.
