Christopher Smith Journey Through Recovery
Donation protected
Chris Smith, the Lead Concierge of Trump Parc Stamford has been diagnosed with Acute Kidney Injury which has caused Kidney Failure. Chris will have a long journey ahead of him for recovery.
Chris is in need of a Kidney transplant, and is enduring Dialysis treatments until a donor Kidney becomes available. He currently receives outpatient Hemodialysis 3 times per week for 3 to 4 hrs at a time. He will require surgery in the upcoming weeks which will enable him to self administer his own Peritoneal Dialysis daily at home.
The goal is to be able to treat himself each evening so he is able to get back to leading a functional lifestyle until a donor has been identified. Chris is being placed on donor lists throughout the country. When a donor becomes available, he has 15 hours to make it to the location of the donor organ to receive the transplant surgery.
There are endless financial burdens that Chris and his family will encounter due to this unfortunate diagnosis. I am asking our community to do what they can to help Chris and his family in their time of need. He has been a part of the Trump Parc Stamford family since 2011. He’s dedicated his time, efforts, and heart to our building. Let’s do what we do and help him get back on his feet so he can come back home to us!
For those of you who may have donor inquiry questions, please contact me directly.
With Absolute Appreciation,
Tracey Goring
