As many of you know, recently we lost our dear friend Christopher Ronald Woodley Though we all knew that he was unwell for quite some time, his death has left a hole in the hearts of those who loved him.

A new Zealand native, Columbus called Airlie beach home for more than 30 years. He was a friend to many, an uncle to Mark & Kristen, partner to Trace and beloved by Serena & Amada. To myself, Redman, Tara, Steve, Marcus, Mike. C (and all the guys & girls from Beach Rd) he was more than that, he was our chosen family, A brother not by blood but by bond.

Columbus was quick with a joke and even quicker with a laugh. He had a laugh like no other, was the life of a party and one of the funniest people we have ever known. He was also a lunatic and even in death he is still playing funny buggers because Columbus is in the lock up! (not the first time may we add) but this lock up is different, currently he is stuck in the Proserpine Morgue and we need to get our brother out!

In all the years we knew Columbus, he was generous, kind and caring. He would buy you a drink, help you move house, show up for special occasions and generally just be a good man.

We know times are hard for everyone now but we are asking for those who knew and loved Columbus to now lend their hand in support of him. We’re raising funds to help cover funeral costs and celebrate his life the way he lived — full of laughter, love, and good company. Any contribution, no matter the size, would mean so much to us.

Please help us bring our brothers Ashes home and honor him with the love he so richly deserves.
