Last Thursday evening May 10th 2018 Christopher was in a horrific house fire. He was sleeping when the fire broke out and his friend and landlord tried waking him up and tried dragging him out of the fire. He would not wake up due to smoke inhalation, and was too heavy for her to drag, but somehow Chris suddenly awoke but would not leave without the family dog. Christopher loved this little dog, he was able to get the dog but when he opened the door to leave the back draft came in on him and caught him on fire. Christopher was airlifted to ORMC where he remains in ICU in critical condition. He has suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns over 25 percent of his body and has severe lung damage. We are optimistic and hopeful that he will make a full recovery however it will be a very long road.
Christopher is a 25 year old construction worker. He is a hard working man who loves his family, children and animals. He is a loving, caring man with a big heart. He would help anyone in need. I have seen him many times give his last dollars to homeless people because they needed it more than he did. Now Christopher is in need. He has lost everything he had in the fire including the clothes on his back. He will be in the hospital recovering for months and the medical bills are going to be astronomical. We are asking for donations to help Chris replace the things lost in the fire as well as to help with the medical bills and medications that he is going to need.
