Dear Family, Friends, and Community Members

 

We write this today to share the tragic loss of Christopher Mateen. Chris was a caring, loving, and hardworking individual who woke up at 6 am every day to start his day to help provide for his family. His time here on Earth was cut way too short and he did not deserve for his life to be taken away by such a tragic act.

 

On the early morning of January 14th, the family vehicle was stolen from their home and yet Chris was still determined to get to work. While on his way to work, he discovered their car parked at Mcdonald's and while trying to retrieve the car he was shot and killed. He leaves behind a wife, 3 children, parents, siblings, family members and friends.

 

The family would like to give Christopher the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say their last goodbyes. We are currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Christopher’s funeral. The timing to raise the funds is tight so we ask to receive the donations as quickly as possible.
