Christopher Johnson's Heart Recovery Aid
Donation protected
My dad, Chris Johnson, suffered a mild heart attack on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. Prior to admittance in the Emergrncy Room that morning, he was feeling unwell but proceeded to go to work unaware of the actual medical circumstance. Upon arrival to work, his fellow coworkers/friends noticed that he was not well and took him to Urgent Care where my mom/his wife met him to ensure he was okay. Urgent Care informed them that his blood pressure and heart rate was dangerously high and he needed to go to the ER immediately. My dad was admitted to the ER where he was observed overnight, and was transferred to a room the following morning.

Since his admittance to the hospital, his blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen levels have been monitored. The cardiologists informed us that they will be keeping him in the hospital to run related tests (x-rays, blood gas, etc) and monitor his rates and levels until they are where they need to be. Most recently, his oxygen levels remain low.
My dad's biggest hesitancy about going to the doctor initially is the fact that he does not have medical insurance. We really do not want him to stress over the financial aspect of this situation when his health should be the primary focus. As of Thursday, September 9, my parents were informed that his bill is approximately $15,000. My dad is still in the hospital and may be so throughout the weekend/possibly longer, so the total will continue to increase.
My parents did apply for assistance through recommended programs, but they stand a very high chance of being denied since they are a little above the monthly allowance.
Any contribution for my dad's health is appreciated beyond any expression. All donations will go towards paying my dad's hospital bill.
Please keep Chris Johnson in your thoughts and prayers. ❤
