On Easter Sunday we were heartbroken to learn the news of the sudden passing of our dear friend, Christopher J. Schlemmer. His life was taken too soon by an incurable brain tumor.
Chris dedicated his life to his family while educating and inspiring students in public schools for 30 years. As a teacher, humanitarian, father, and loving husband, he touched countless lives. Throughout Chris’s career, he selflessly gave back to his students and community, always going above and beyond to make a difference. He was known for his creativity, passion for teaching and unwavering dedication to his students' success.
Many of his former students have gone on to pursue successful careers, attributing their achievements to his mentorship and guidance. During his retirement, Chris continued to give back to his community in countless ways like buying shoes for the homeless, taking care of and providing transportation for elderly neighbors
We are launching this GoFundMe campaign so we as a community can come together to honor his legacy, support his beloved family and give back to the man who gave so much.
Your contributions will go directly to help cover medical expenses, funeral costs, and provide ongoing support for his wife’s financial needs. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference.
Together, we can rally around Chris's legacy and support his family during this incredibly difficult time. Your kindness and generosity will help to comfort Pat, his wife and soulmate of more than 47 years. She'll know that she is not alone in her grief but has a community surrounding her.
We thank you for your consideration and support. Please share this campaign with others who may be willing to donate and help honor the memory of this exceptional teacher and friend.
If you are unable to contribute at this time, we only ask you to keep Pat and her family in your thoughts and prayers and perform one act of kindness for another in need as Chris would have done to honor him in the most meaningful way possible.
