Christopher Hays' Family - Memorial Fund

Greetings, If you're viewing this page you likely knew First Lieutenant (Ret.) Christopher Hays, and/or his family from his 24+ years of service in the US Navy or from his other travels or work endeavors. He spent much of his career in the San Diego area as well as WA state where he grew up. Sadly, we suddenly lost Chris on Jan 10th and his family is left to pick up the pieces while his wife of 30 years is undergoing cancer treatment and other ongoing medical procedures related to a bad car accident. It is all quite overwhelming and being that Chris was the rock of the family, his sudden loss is immeasurable at this time.

Although there are some Military support mechanisms in place regarding the funeral process, the immediate stoppage of his military retirement benefits leaves quickly mounting expenses around all of this that could threaten his widow Hanna's ability to stay in their home while medical bills continue to pile up. If you are moved and so compelled to assist in any way possible, be it via prayers and/or financial support, Chris' family would be immensely grateful so that they can honor their late husband, and father -- and simultaneously financially survive this period of transition away from his retirement income until additional death benefits, if any, are made available to them.
