Help Us Bring Christopher Home

It’s with broken hearts that we share the sudden and devastating loss of Christopher Daniel Burns (14/11/1990 – 24/05/2025), who passed away overseas in Tbilisi, Georgia, at just 34 years old.

Christopher was a beloved son, brother, partner, and loyal friend. He was a proud Collingwood supporter, a passionate motorsport marshal, a musical tinkerer, and a devoted cat dad. He lived life with honesty, humour, and a big heart—and touched countless lives around the world.

Christopher had made Georgia his home for the past four years, and many of us hadn’t seen him in that time. We never imagined being reunited like this.

We are now facing the difficult task of bringing Christopher home to Australia so he can be laid to rest with family and friends. The costs involved in repatriation are significant—estimated at $30,000—and include flights, accommodation, international transport, documentation, and funeral expenses.

• Cat rescue and welfare (he was caring for 7 at the time of his passing)
