On September 9th, our beloved Christopher (Chris) Woolis was diagnosed with cancer. Just one week later, on September 16th, Chris heartbreakingly passed away. His sudden illness and passing have left his family, friends, and the entire Elmwood Park community devastated.
Chris was so much more than his illness. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Christa, and a loving father to their children, Chloe, Peter, and Anthony, while also cherishing the memory of his late son, John. His family was his greatest joy, and he poured every ounce of love and dedication into them.
Chris’s impact reached far beyond his home. He was a beloved town member, a dedicated coach, and proudly served as Vice President of Elmwood Park Little League. For years, he gave his time, energy, and heart to countless children—coaching teams, mentoring young athletes, and showing what true sportsmanship and leadership looked like. He had a rare gift for making every child feel important, every parent feel welcome, and every teammate feel like family.
To know Chris was to know kindness. He was the type of person who would give the shirt off his back, who never hesitated to lend a hand, and who always made others feel supported. His legacy is one of generosity, mentorship, and unwavering community spirit.
Now, in the face of this devastating loss, we are coming together to support the Woolis family. Donations will help Christa, Chloe, Peter, and Anthony navigate the difficult days ahead, easing the burden of expenses so they can focus on healing and honoring Chris’s memory.
If you are able, please consider donating or sharing this page. Every contribution, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated.
Together, we can show the Woolis family the same love and support that Chris so freely gave to all of us.
Thank you for keeping the Woolis family in your hearts and prayers during this unimaginable time.
