On Monday January 27, our pard and fellow historian, Christopher Buzzard suffered a tragic loss. While at work, his barn caught on fire and was a complete loss as well as all of the contents, including all of his re-enacting gear from American Civil War and WW2. While insurance is there and will certainly help to cover other items, everyone in the living history community knows how difficult quality items for 19th century living history can be to obtain and Chris has taken great time over the years in ensuring every detail of his kit was top notch. All of his civilian, most of his Federal, and all of his Confederate was all lost, as well as the kits of his wife and children. Buzzard is a great pard to many and a good friend to us all, let us rally to colors in his time of need!
