Christopher Boe's Medical Bills
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Nicholas, and Christopher Corey Boe is my nephew and godson. For those of you who have had the pleasure of meeting Chris, you will have quickly learned that he is the most outgoing and hilarious toddler with the largest personality. You may have also noticed that he has a feeding tube.
Chris has been in and out of hospitals since he was born. He has undergone several surgeries and an innumerable number of tests all before the age of three. As a result of all of these tests, Chris was diagnosed with a motility disorder. This disorder prevents Christopher's body from absorbing the necessary nutrients when eating food. To help get Chris the proper nutrients that he needs, the doctors have surgically placed a feeding tube that bypasses his stomach and goes directly into his intestines. Chris needs to be on his feeding tube to obtain the proper nutrients for several hours per day. To date, the doctors and specialists across all of the hospitals he has visited are still unable to provide us with a definitive diagnosis for Chris that is the cause of this disorder. This means there will be more doctor appointments, more tests, and potentially more surgeries.
As we all know, medical care is not free. Over the past two and a half years, the bills have accrued, consisting of multiple visits to three separate hospitals from Suffolk County to Philadelphia, many visits with doctors and specialists, countless tests, the cost to maintain the feeding machine that provides Chris with the formula, and the formula itself. My sister and brother-in-law have been working tirelessly to keep up with the mounting medical bills while simultaneously giving Chris the best life. However, the bills seem like a never-ending battle. The goal of this fundraiser is to ease some of that financial burden on them so that they can continue to seek the medical care Chris needs.
