Chris Barton & Angelete’s Daughter College Fund

With heavy hearts we are saddened to announce that our Brother Christopher Barton has passed away and entered Omega Chapter unexpectedly at the young age of 30. Christopher is expecting a beautiful baby girl with his fiancé Angelete Ransome. Her name will be Kaidence Noelle-Kris Barton. The Barton family have taken care of all Chris' final needs and joyously await the birth of Kaidence. With "Scholarship" as one of our Cardinal Principals, it is our hope with this GoFundMe to provide support for his fiancé and daughter in establishment of a College

Fund.

Brother Barton embarked on his journey into Omega in his fall semester at Bloomfield College. In the midst of his journey, Bro. Barton held the position of Secretary for the Black Student Union (BSU). Embodying his 2nd Cardinal Principal of scholarship, Barton's name was added to the Dean's list for his 3.4 GPA. Continuing his journey into leadership Barton joined many organizations on campus as well as committees within the fraternity. While serving as a Resident Advisor he was selected as the Vice President of the Greek Council and transitioned to President the following year. Within Omega, Bro Barton valiantly pledged to her cause by serving as the 2nd District Undergraduate Representative under the leadership of Brother Dashaun Calhoun. The following year, Barton elevated his role of leadership assisting 2nd District Representative, Kelvin Ampofo as well as 1st Vice DR Delrico Gales as their 2nd Vice DR. The 2nd Vice DR position gave Bro. Barton had the opportunity to aid and assist over 109 undergraduate chapters. Taking into consideration how valuable the minds of the future are, Barton served on a district level as a member of the achievement week committee under the leadership of current Corridor Representative Bro Leon Smith, and Bro. Keir Pemberton who both have formerly held the position of Committee Chairman.

Brother Barton served as the Basileus of the Alpha Epsilon Zeta Chapter and was also recognized as a Chartering Member. He has received several awards such as; The Community Building Award (Bloomfield), Undergraduate Omega Man of The Year (Rho Lambda Lambda), Undergraduate Omega Man of the Year (District Level), Outstanding Service Award (82nd Grand Conclave), and The District Representative's Coin of Excellence.
