Hello everyone. I hope you take a few minutes to read & share this story.
My nieces husband started feeling ill last Sunday. He was out of work this last week & slept much of the time.
On Friday my sister took the kids while my niece worked so Jeremy could rest. At 10:30p.m. she got home to find him arrouseable but stating tired with head ache .
She was getting kids ready for bed when Jeremy appeared in their daughter’s doorway showing signs of what she thought was a stroke. He was taken by ambulance and admitted to ICU.
After many tests , stroke was ruled out but they have not yet been able to diagnose what is causing this.
He is currently not awake or alert and is suffering from repetitive seizures.
With the help of the on call neurologist, he was moved to a more specialized hospital in the city better equipped to diagnose and care for him.
He has had moments where he appears to be awake but very few. He responds to the sound of his children’s voices when my niece plays videos from her phone.
My niece is a server and does not receive any pay while she is out of work to care for her husband. We don’t know how long Jeremy will be out of work.
Their children are 6 and 2 and keep asking when daddy is going to wake up. They miss him terribly right now.
I am hoping this fundraiser will help gather enough money to ensure they can pay their bills and to remove that worry from my niece . With the added expense of traveling to and from the city each day and both of them losing their income at this time, I also want to make sure her children have a good Christmas.
I understand many are experiencing financial struggles & want to open this go fund me for not just financial assistance but also for prayers to help doctors identify what's causing this so they can start Jeremy's treatment & road to recovery.
