12/25 - On the dawn of Christmas, my dear neighbor's house burned down in Stewartsville, NJ. I'm so devastated for them, words are inadequate right now. Natasha and the entire Jackson-Jordan family have been wonderful friends and neighbors. The Jackson-Jordan family moved here a few years ago for wider space and fresher air for their daughter who's in remission from pediatric cancer. Natasha is also a federal employee, they are just starting to recover from the federal shutdown that led her to work multiple part-time jobs in order to make ends meet while keeping her full-time federal job because she cannot afford to lose health insurance for her daughter. The past few months have been incredibly stressful for her and her family and they are JUST coming up for air from the last crisis. Yet today, the home she has taken such pride in burned down. While I'm grateful that everyone is safe, including their dogs, this is still an incredibly awful thing to happen on Christmas morning and a day after Madison just turned 13 on Christmas Eve. Let's show up for them with the support that they deserve.

I run an local non-profit that supports families in crisis called The Village NJ that supports local families in the greater Phillipsburg/Stewartsville area and Warren County. Natasha has shown up for other families in need whenever she could, now is our turn to show up for her and her family. Please give as your heart leads. 100% of donations will go toward the family to support them during this time and to help them rebuild.

Requests for other kinds of donations - clothing, shoes, food, household supplies - will be shared in the upcoming days as we all settle from the shock. Your understanding and support is much appreciated!
