Hi everyone, my name is Alex and I am fundraising to help repair a neighbor’s home after a dramatic Christmas Eve animal rescue.

This week, our beloved orange tabby, Felix, went missing for three days. After a frantic search using his AirTag, we tracked him to a neighbor's house that was vacant while the family was away in Florida for the holidays. We eventually discovered that Felix had fallen down their chimney and was trapped deep inside the wall, unable to get out. He had been stuck in the dark without food or water for 56 hours.

The Irving Fire Department arrived and determined the only way to save him was to breach the masonry of the chimney. In an act of true Christmas kindness, the homeowners—despite being halfway across the country—gave us permission to break through their exterior brick wall to save our cat.

We promised the homeowners that we would take full responsibility for the repairs.

Firefighters used sledgehammers to break through the brick, and after a tense rescue operation involving drones and thermal cameras, Felix was pulled from the attic walls on Christmas Eve morning. He is dehydrated and shaken, but safe in our arms.

We are starting this fund to strictly cover the cost of the professional masonry and drywall repairs needed to fix our neighbor's home. They didn't have to let us break their wall, but they did, and we want to honor our word to make them whole again.

Any funds raised beyond the cost of repairs will be donated to the Irving Fire Department and local animal rescue in gratitude for their help.
