Hello,

My name is Maria, and every year I fundraise for an underprivileged community in Pisco, Peru that is very close to my heart. Thanks to the generosity of friends and family, we’ve been able to make Christmas morning magical for all 44 children in their local shelter—each one receiving a gift they might not have otherwise had. With leftover funds, we’ve provided daily breakfast at the community shelter, and last year we even raised enough to create a small summer camp for the kids.

This year, our mission has an even more meaningful purpose.

We want to help one very special child: Joel.

Joel is 8 years old and was born with Cerebral Palsy. His mother, who works tirelessly to care for him, cannot afford the mobility chair he needs. This adaptive chair—just under $2,000—would give Joel the chance to practice walking and experience a level of independence he’s never had.

I truly believe we can come together to make this happen.

Every contribution, big or small, brings Joel one step closer to mobility—any left over funds will be used for the rest of the children we support during the holidays.
