Last evening, Dec.10th, our friends Wilson & Isabel lost their home and everything in it to a fire. Thankfully, no one was home.

Can you imagine enjoying a wonderful early Christmas supper with family and your phone rings. It’s your neighbour. She proceeds to deliver news no one ever wants to hear……’Your home is on fire and it’s bad!!’

At any time a fire is devastating, but during the Christmas season, the loss would be even more magnified.

They are staying currently with family, but have nothing but the clothes on their back.

The Matthews family relocated to Chipman NB from Labrador about 5 years ago. They’ve settled in to the community nicely in the former home of the Wallace’s They love the village and the people they’ve met. They would be one of the first to reach out to someone in need. Now it’s our turn. Let’s show them the love Maritimers are known for, especially during this season of love & giving.
