The family at 30 Wahroonga Street is once again spreading festive cheer with their Christmas light display, this year aiming to raise funds for the Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI), an organisation dedicated to groundbreaking health and medical research. Their motivation is deeply personal, as they lost a beloved family member earlier this year who held HMRI close to her heart; Jeanette Cooke, known as Mum, Armar, and a dear friend, was given a second chance at life through a kidney transplant in 1998, thanks to a generous family member. Her story highlights the importance of medical research and the hope it brings, inspiring the family to give back and support HMRI’s vital work in transforming health and wellbeing worldwide.
