Christmas Heartbreak for Hackler Family of 10
Donation protected
Rose and Bryan Hackler, happily married for 22 years, worked hard to support and care for their eight children. They put their needs before their own & regularly sacrificed for the benefit of their children. Rose had started working at Kohls after being at home for 17 years caring for them, while Bryan has had to do a lot of traveling with his job. They loved their kids deeply.
Bryan took Rose to the emergency department on Christmas Eve after her illness worsened. Unfortunately, Rose went into cardiac arrest as soon as she was inside the door. After five days in ICU on a ventilator, her condition deteriorated. After continued testing, her doctors determined that she had minimal brain activity & irreversible lung damage. The difficult decision was made by Bryan & her brothers to take her off life support to go home to be with the Lord on 12/29/21.
Bryan was admitted to the hospital the following day in respiratory distress due to his illness. After four days in the hospital being treated with antiviral medication, steroids, and oxygen therapy Bryan was discharged home to continue his recovery.
Even though Bryan carried medical insurance for the family, Rose just obtained dental benefits from Kohls that the kids will now be unable to use. In addition to medical expenses for both Rose and Bryan and Rose’s funeral expenses, our nieces & nephews are going to need so much continued financial support moving forward, including some much-needed home repairs. It will be necessary to provide some temporary housing to take care of all the work to give the Hackler family a fresh start.
Family, friends, neighbors, Milford Exempted Village School District, Kohl's Department Store in Milford, River Hills Christian Church, Eastside Christian Church, Axis Christian Church, and All Dogs Come From Heaven Rescue have asked us to set up a Go Fund Me page to help support the family.
We sincerely appreciate any financial donations you can provide for the Hackler children. Rose leaves behind her husband, Bryan and her children (John, Ethan, Sydney, Madysen, Brooklyne, Victoria, Natalie, and Zander). They have already been overwhelmed by the generosity of meals, a prayer vigil for Rose, expressions of concern, and ongoing prayers.
