This Christmas, 35 young people and 7 children will be waking up in one of the Hope Street First Response Refuges, at risk of homelessness and far from the festive experiences many of us take for granted. We want them to know they’re not forgotten. We want them to feel valued, seen, and supported.

That’s why we’re launching the Travel4Good Gift Giving Fundraiser.

For $30, you can give a Christmas gift to a young person or child staying with Hope Street this Christmas. Our goal is to provide every one of them with a thoughtful gift—something chosen with care, dignity, and genuine kindness.

Why Hope Street? Why Travel4Good?

Travel4Good has a close and ongoing relationship with Hope Street Youth and Family Services, an organisation dedicated to supporting young people experiencing homelessness in Victoria.

In June this year, Steve and I (Lisa) trekked the West Highland Way in Scotland over 8 days and raised over $3,500 to help young people attend Hope Street’s Life Skills Training Programs—teaching essential skills like healthy cooking, budgeting, wellbeing, and parenting.

After our fundraiser, Hope Street CEO Donna Bennett shared this message:

"I want to express my sincerest thanks for your support of the vulnerable, yet full of hope, young people who access Hope Street, through Travel 4 Good.

The Travel 4 Good fundraising campaign for Hope Street raised an amazing $3,788.66…far exceeding the donations received earlier in 2025. Your contribution helps Hope Street continue our work with young people facing homelessness in the Greater Melbourne area. On behalf of the Hope Street team, I am grateful for your consideration of and contribution that will assist the young people and young families who are supported by Hope Street."
