This year marks 10 years since we began donating gifts to children who spend Christmas in Great Ormond Street Hospital.

What a milestone!

Over the past decade, your generosity has helped bring festive cheer to children spending Christmas in hospital — and we’re doing it again this year!

The project began in 2015 after our son Ja'mai, was born with a condition called congenital myopathy. He had a cardiac arrest at 8 weeks old and was unable to breath by himself, he spent 7 months in Great Ormond Street Hospital where the doctors did everything they could to save him.

They eventually managed to get him breathing by himself again and was discharged home.

As a gesture of appreciation to the hospital for what they did for him, we started collecting donations in every shape and form to support the hospital charity.

Having spent months in the hospital environment, we understood how challenging it can be especially during the festive period. We figured that one of the best ways we could give back to the hospital, would be by helping the children have a smile on their faces whilst spending the festive period in the hospital, and therefore decided to start this project.

Ja'mai went on to live a challenging but happy life. He sadly passed away at 8 years old on 28th September 2023.

Please donate whatever you can. No amount is too little or too large.

For those who are donating physical gifts, please could they be new hard toys which are easily wipeable? No need to wrap them.

We aim to hand all donations to GOSH on the 22nd of December 2025.

An amazon voucher will be purchased and will be given to the hospital staff who will then buy the gifts and distribute among the children. Physical gifts donated will be collected and dropped off by myself and colleagues to the hospital charity office.
