Actually, rabbits teeth, as you all know, grow continuously throughout their lives. That is why Arthur needs a teeth filing each year.

Now it's also his roots that grow in the other sense (in his jaw), and it can cause him violent pain. As the vet explained, it usually leads to abscesses, and the best thing to do is to extract the teeth. For now, 2 dental roots are of concern to Arthur, but without abscesses, the vet doesn't plan to extract teeth on an 8-year-old rabbit.

For the moment I try to focus on his "absences" problem only, but if that treatment works, the teeth will have to be checked to see if abscesses don't form later. I think it's possible to check with an X-RAY, but who knows if he will not need another scan in a few months?

Anyway, he is a senior, so problems are going to arrive, and money will have to be given.
