Christmas Charity Power Yoga for Alzheimer’s Research UK

This Christmas, I’m turning my 7pm Power Yoga class at Climbing District in London Fields into a special charity session to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK — a charity dedicated to finding a cure for dementia.

Over a year ago, my dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. He’s always been such an intelligent, astute man — someone who loved talking about history, current affairs, and the world around him. Seeing how the illness has affected his memory, confidence, and ability to express himself has been incredibly hard, especially as he’s aware of the changes happening. The loss of memory also brings a lot of anxiety for him — a constant worry that he’s forgotten something important or that something is wrong — is so hard to witness.

This class is my way of doing something positive — to bring people together, move, breathe, and raise funds for research that offers real hope for the future.

Expect an energising Power Yoga flow to great music, full of fun, strength, and festive spirit.
