Christi’s road to recovery!!

Hi, my name is Christi! On July 15 2023 I was diagnosed with end stage liver disease! My health has continued to deteriorate. After months of testing and weekly paracentisis and thoracentisis, I was finally put on the liver transplant list Jan 26th. On March 12, I received the phone call that would change my life forever. They found a living organ donor, that was a perfect match for me. My surgery is scheduled for April 22 in Pittsburgh. It will be a long recovery process. I won’t be able to work for awhile afterwards. During this time my caregiver(my wonderful mother) and I will be staying in Pittsburgh for atleast a month. So I’m asking for help from family, friends, and my community to help defray some of the medical costs I will incur while down there for ie housing, medical bills, prescriptions that aren’t covered, and travel expenses etc. I know not everyone can donate at this time so even a saying a prayer for my donor, the surgeon and I on April 22 would be greatly appreciated.
