For nearly ten years, my incredible mom has been courageously fighting metastatic breast cancer. Thanks to advancements in medicine and her unwavering strength and faith, my family has been given more precious time with her than we ever imagined possible.  Recently, however, we received the heartbreaking news that her cancer has progressed, and she has developed leptomeningeal disease—a serious complication with a poor prognosis. While we don’t know exactly how much time we have left with her, doctors have made it clear that it will be limited.

My mom’s greatest joy is her grandchildren and her deepest wish is to take them to see the ocean for the very first time. She wants to sit on the sand and watch them experience the wonder of the sea, a place that brings her immense peace. This trip isn’t just about the destination; but a way for her to leave her grandchildren with cherished, lasting memories of her love, her laughter, and her spirit.

Despite all she has endured, my mom is incredibly selfless and always puts the needs of others first. She would never ask for help herself – as some of you may already know! Now, my family wants to make this dream she so deeply deserves into a reality, but we can't do it without help.

We're raising funds to help cover the costs of a family trip to the ocean so she can spend quality time with her family in a place that brings her peace while she is still well enough to travel and enjoy it. Your support will help us make this special trip possible and to create memories that will last a lifetime for our family and for a woman who has given so much to everyone around her.

Funds will go directly toward:

  •  Airfare and lodging for nine family members

  •  Meals and basic travel expenses

  •  Any medical/travel accommodations my mom may need

If we are lucky enough to raise more than what’s needed for the trip, any remaining funds will go toward my mom’s ongoing medical and living expenses. Since she no longer works and is on disability retirement, this will help ease the financial burden of those expenses so she can spend her remaining time in peace and comfort without the added stress of bills.
