Living with lymphangioma has shaped my entire life. I was born with this rare condition, which affects my jaw, under my tongue, and extends down my neck into my left clavicle. At just six months old, I underwent major surgery because the tumor grew so large it was clasping my esophagus and making it hard to breathe. Since then, I’ve spent years in and out of hospitals, facing multiple procedures and constant uncertainty. Now, I’m experiencing another painful flare-up. My ENT has recommended an MRI to see how much the tumor has changed, and I’ll also need medical injections to manage the symptoms. The pain is constant, and it’s forced me to miss work, making it even harder to keep up with daily expenses.
My parents live in another city and, while they offer emotional support, they’re on a fixed income and can’t help financially. I’m grateful for a few close friends who check in on me, but most of the burden falls on my shoulders. On top of everything, I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder ten years ago, so a large part of my paycheck goes toward my psychiatrist, medications, and rent. This leaves very little for unexpected medical costs.
I’m asking for help to cover the costs of the MRI, medical injections, and to ease the financial strain caused by missed work and ongoing treatment. Any support will help me get the care I need and focus on healing, rather than worrying about how to pay for it. Thank you for reading my story and considering a donation—your kindness truly makes a difference.
