In Loving Memory of Christine Gstalder Powell ~ Supporting Cooper and Family

UPDATE: Christine’s family invites you to a celebration of life for Christine on Saturday October 11 at the East Boulder Community Center from 1 pm to 3pm. 5660 Sioux Dr, Boulder, CO 80303.

Our beloved niece, sister, daughter, friend, wife, and her most cherished role of mother — Christine Gstalder Powell — passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 16th. She leaves behind her husband, Aaron Powell, and their 10-year-old son, Cooper.

Christine was known for her quiet, caring ways and for forging genuine, individual connections with all those around her. She dedicated her life to children— first as a nanny, then as a beloved teacher at Cooper's school — always seeking to support the children and their families in ways large and small, both at school and in their communities.

At home, she shared the most special bond with Cooper, as the one who made him feel most safe and loved, and filled their home with warmth, fun, consistency and unconditional love. Her passing leaves a deep void, as Aaron works long hours into the evening to provide for their family, and will now be raising Cooper on his own.

This fund has been created in Christine's honor through which family, friends and anyone touched by Christine can help Cooper remain in the family home he grew up in, while Aaron works to maintain the stability and routines that mean so much to Cooper and to his well-being and comfort.
