Christine’s Lands End to John O Groats

Christine Milton has set herself a challenge to run the distance from Lands End to John O Groats to help Salcombe preschool and Salcombe C of E primary school raise some funds for outdoor educational equipment.

“For my 60th birthday in February my sister in law gave me a virtual challenge as a present, Lands’ End to John O’Groats, 1744.2km. A very long way. She either thinks I am capable of doing this or she wants to finish me off, I’m not quite sure which. I have taken up this challenge but thought to help keep me motivated I would offer this up to Salcombe Preschool Committee and Salcombe Primary School to use as a forum to raise some funds. I chose these because all four of my children have been to both in their time and now my grandchildren both attend. Also, in the short period of time being back in school and preschool I have become very aware of what amazing teams run our school and preschool. Of that I am sure you will agree, and finally what fantastic children we have around us. I would like to be able to improve their environment throughout their time in preschool and school which I believe is a key target for fundraising at present.”

Christine never keeps still but doing half a marathon every day is going to be a challenge even for her!!! Let’s make her efforts worth while.
