On December 28, 2025, our family experienced an unimaginable tragedy. A devastating house fire claimed the life of our beloved Christine "Chris" Ortega, along with all five of her cherished fur babies. In that same fire, we lost our grandparents' home—a place filled with generations of memories and love.

Christine was a light in our lives, known for her kind heart and deep love for her family and friends. She shared her home with her five precious puppies who brought her joy every single day. They were her family, and they will be deeply missed alongside her.

Our disabled aunt, Antonette Quintana, barely escaped with her life after heroically trying to save her sister Christine from the flames. While we are grateful Antonette survived, she lost everything in the fire—all of her clothing, personal belongings, and essential items she needs for daily living.

Our family is devastated and struggling to cope with this sudden loss. We are now faced with unexpected funeral expenses for Christine and the urgent need to help Antonette rebuild her life from nothing. She requires clothing, medical supplies, mobility aids, and basic necessities to begin again.
