Update at bottom-
My name is Christine McCarthy. I’m 53 years old, a wife to Darren, and a proud mother to Alexis and Dennis. I never imagined I’d be writing something like this, but just recently, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer.
Hearing those words was earth-shattering. In an instant, my world changed. I am now facing the most brutal fight of my life—a fight that involves treatments, scans, medications, and countless doctors’ appointments. It’s a fight I never asked for, but one I am determined to face with strength and faith.
As anyone who has faced a serious illness knows, the emotional toll is only part of the battle. The financial burden is heavy and constant. Medical bills, insurance gaps, travel to treatment centers, and everyday living expenses are already piling up quickly.
That’s why I’m asking for help.
No matter how small, every donation will go directly toward my medical care, transportation to appointments, and the everyday bills that continue even when life comes to a halt. Your support will help ease these financial pressures and give me peace of mind so I can focus on healing and spending precious time with my family.
I’ve always tried to live quietly and give what I could to others. Now, I am humbly asking for your help. If you’re able to give, share, or hold me and my family in your thoughts and prayers, please know how deeply grateful we are.
Thank you for standing with me during this time. Your support brings light into the darkest moments and reminds me that I’m not in this alone.
With love and hope,
Christine McCarthy
Update -- 8/21/2025
It is with deep sadness that I share my mom passed away on August 18th. Our hearts are broken, but we are grateful for the love, kindness, and support that so many of you have shown during this difficult journey.
At this time, any additional donations will go directly toward covering her funeral expenses and helping us honor her life and memory.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your continued love, prayers, and support. It means more than words can ever express.
With gratitude,
Her loving family.
