Christine Persico Memorial Scholarship

As many of you know, our mom, Christine Persico, passed away on November 29th, 2021. She graduated with a Doctor of Education degree from Columbia University and enjoyed a fulfilling career in higher education for over 30 years. She loved volunteering with the Boys' Club of NY, and any program whose cause advocated for underserved communities. Her greatest desire and mission in life was to have equal opportunities for all.

She overcame many adversities in her own life and was the first in her family to go to college. She valued education and access to education. For Christine's birthday this year, we would like to start the Christine Persico Memorial Scholarship, which will be given to a senior at an awards night in May at Cara's high school in Connecticut. The scholarship will be awarded to a student who is the first in their family to go to college, or overcame a major adversity. Applications open March 1st for students, and the selection process begins April 4th. Any contribution is appreciated. Thank you!
