Hi, my name is Christine, and I am 29 years old. This past summer I started having some health issues that have led to a diagnoses of Chronic Venous Insufficiency.

That means the veins in my lower left leg have started to collapse in on themselves. So blood is pumping down to my foot, but not back up to my heart. When blood pools in my foot and ankle, it causes swelling and the swelling leads to ulcers. These ulcers have been extremely painful and debilitating. Most days I walk with a limp and at home I use a cane to get around.

I have started seeing a vascular surgeon and they referred me to Wound Care. They told me for the level my ulcers are at, wound care is a necessity. But , it has proven to be very costly. The initial appointment is $612.50 and every subsequent appointment is around $250. My doctor said I would need dressing changes 2-3 times a week and they expect healing in 1-2 months. One month of wound care would be $3000 if I have to go 3 times a week. So $6000 for two months.

Asking for money from my friends and family is not ideal. I am not opposed to asking for help because I know we all need it occasionally, but I wish this was something I could do by myself.

But my reality is I dont have time to save up for this, I need the wound care as soon as possible. I have started doing online tasks on the computer to make some extra cash to help my goal as well. But I need help. If you would consider donating to my cause, I would appreciate it deeply. Not only to get out of pain, but to get my life back. I cant play with my son, go grocery shopping or even work without being in pain.
