I want to tell you about a friend of mine named Christine Floyd. She isn’t just any friend but an amazing daughter to our Father in heaven. A woman that shines His light on everyone she comes in contact with. A woman that inspires me to be more obedient in my life as well.
Christine has been married for 26 years to her loving husband Tommy. She and her husband have raised 5 children together. Christine has worked as an MRI/x-ray tech for 29 years caring for many patients with love. Her smile lights up the room and brings smiles to others.
A little over a month ago she went to the doctor after a few weeks of illness. She was hospitalized and spent close to a month in the hospital going through multiple tests and procedures. During it all her true heart shined through as her faith never wavered. Despite being very weak she continued to pray for other patients and the caregivers that she met along the way. After multiple biopsies and tests the doctors have not been able to conclusively diagnose her illness. Her suffering has allowed her to touch many others. This peculiar woman remains faithful to serving God in every way. Her loving attitude is infectious.
1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
She is currently unable to work. Due to her illness she requires medications, medical equipment, and specialized IV therapy, most of which is not covered by her insurance. She travels to New Orleans several times a week for treatments. The cost of care, treatments, and travel have grown quickly. Please help this wonderful daughter of God. Any donations will be a blessing and would help her family with this overwhelming burden.
Proverbs 11:25 The generous will prosper; those who refresh others themselves will be refreshed.
Throughout this trial many of us have joined in prayer that our Father will restore this wonderful woman so that she can continue to serve others as the hands and feet of Jesus. Christine asks that everyone, regardless of ability to give monetary donations, join us in praising the Lord and her complete restoration of health.
