Campfire in Paradise, Ca. Lost everything in the fire.
The pine tree across the road from my home exploded with fire and I knew it was time to leave/escape/evacuate. We had NO warning and had to leave using common sense and God’s good grace.
With much heartache I had to leave one kitty behind. He was hiding and although I searched for an hour, I could not find him.
Fire was to the west, north and northeast surrounding the area of my home.
Drove through fire to get to a safer spot about 7 miles down the road.
The photo shows the fire surrounding us towards the west.
After a short time the fire grew aggressively to the east. It caught up to my “safe” spot. Cal fire arrived out of nowhere and advised it was time to go because the fire was coming!
Across the road, about 15-20ft from my vantage point, the fire had caught up to me and I had to flee.
Drove threw thick black smoke with fire trailing until I reached a clearing to the highway and to safety.
Any monetary help would be greatly appreciated. Unable to accept or store any items that would be donated.
