Christine's Off to Howard Law!

Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
My name is Christine Ayanna Croasdaile. I am a Brooklyn born, Jamaican-bred, daughter of immigrants who will be the first person in my immediate family to pursue a dual degree. This fall I will be a JD/MBA Candidate at Howard University's School of Law & School of Business, with the hopes of specializing in Entertainment Law and Brand Strategy. I have committed to Howard knowing that this institution was built with purpose of cultivating social engineers who will make a difference within their respective fields. I hope to use my degrees to help future creatives of color own their intellectual property and be able to contribute back to their communities in sustainable ways. This has been a LONG time coming since completing my undergraduate degree at Amherst College in 2017 (B.A. in Black Studies & Spanish, cum laude).
As you can imagine, pursuing professional school out-of-state during a pandemic will be a significant undertaking - mentally, physically, and financially. With your help, I will be able to buy my essential electronic/studying needs including my monitor, desk, and chair, buy my first-semester's worth of books and supplies, cover my initial moving expenses, and provide incidental assistance until my loans are officially disbursed in late August/early September.
As it took a village to raise this only child of a single mother who devoted her life to being a teacher, I hope this village can help support us in making my dreams a reality.
I am so appreciative for all donations, likes, shares, and kind words that will come my way due to your benevolence. Thank you all so much!
