This fundraiser has been organized to show support for one of our own here at UCSD. Christine Hartinger, Director of Medicine Specialties, was recently diagnosed with cancer and she will require extensive treatment. This treatment will be taxing on her both physically and emotionally. One of the most commonly noted areas of discomfort during treatment is in regards to hair loss. Feeling ill and losing your sense of self can be very draining. We would like to help Christine by raising enough money to have her own hair turned into a wig that she can wear both during and after treatment. This gesture will allow her to keep a sense of self while undergoing grueling treatment. If you would like to help, please feel free to donate a little or a lot. Every penny counts and more importantly, it shows her how much she is loved and supported by her UCSD family.
