Give it up for Christine Freeny

Hi. My name is Irma and I'm raising money for Christine's funeral.

Christine Freeny was born on Oct. 12, 1964, and passed away on Jan. 13, 2023. She was 58 years old.

Christine grew up on the south side of Lansing and was a happy-go-lucky person with a quick smile.

Christine was the youngest of nine children. In 1997 she lost her mother to congestive heart failure and in '98 she lost her father to lung cancer. Christine never married or had any children. She loved life and loved people. She also loved to work because it gave her something to do and allowed her to be around people. Christine worked in food service places (Burger King, KFC, Cracker Barrel) and managed to pay her bills and save money. However, as she became sick, she lost time on the job until she had to quit altogether. At this time she applied for disability and lived on her savings. In the later months of her life, Christine was in and out of the hospital and subsequently died of multiple organ failure; three days after surgery while waiting for her disability.

As a result, Christine needs help with her final expense and her homegoing. Please help Christine by contributing to her account. All donations, big or small, will be appreciated. Funds will be used for funeral expenses and Christine's family to help with their expenses related to the funeral.
