Hi, my name is Trish and I'm raising money for my little sister Chrissy's final homegoing. My heart is broken. She passed away on March 23 after a lifetime battling sickle cell disease. Even though Chrissy was disabled her whole life, she was a fighter and lived far longer than the doctors said she would. She was 48.

My nephew, the son of my late sister Cathy, was at her bedside when she took her last breath. We lost Cathy when she was only 31. Yes, life is short. Give someone you love a hug.

I hope that Chrissy was greeted on the other side by Cathy and our other lost family members: my mom, dad, great aunt "Mamma," Grandma Roberts, Aunt Ena, Uncle Wally, Aunt Bibs, Auntie Kay, and Uncle Don. Plus our loving extended family - Auntie Jean, Uncle Mike, Uncle Mac, Uncle Harold, Ronnie Townsend, and more. I'm sure there is a party in Heaven today. Rest in peace, Chrissy. Finally, your pain is over. xoxoxo

The family requests donations in lieu of flowers to offset her funeral expenses. Unfortunately, Chrissy didn't have life insurance. Any gift is appreciated whether monetary, a kind word, or a prayer. xo
