Christina's Ballet Fund

Hello! My name is Christina Gilmore, I'm 16 years old, and I am a ballet dancer who currently trains in Omaha, Nebraska. Attending ballet class is my favorite way to spend my time, and the thrill of performing never gets old. This summer, I'd like to attend Ellison Ballet’s summer intensive, which is a program that will help me refine my technique and artistry. I was thrilled when I found out I'd been accepted! Unfortunately, summer intensives can be very expensive. Travel costs, housing, tuition, dance wear, and pointe shoes can cost thousands of dollars. In the past, thanks to the generous donations of friends and family, I’ve been able to attend both Alvin Ailey and American Ballet Theatre’s summer intensives in New York City. The experiences were life changing! This year, I hope to attend Ellison, as it is important to focus on my technique as I get older. At the end of the day, I hope to succeed not only for myself but to for the next generation of ballerinas. I hope to be a role model and source of inspiration for them!
