Christina's Stroke Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Our beloved friend Christina needs support after suffering a stroke.
On November 9th, Christina was admitted into the hospital after six days of what was assumed to be a cluster of horrible migraines. After many tests, her neurologists determined that Christina had suffered both an ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke simultaneously.
For those of you who don't know Christina, this isn't her first medical nightmare. As a teenager, she survived Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Unfortunately, the aggressive treatment for Hodgkin's later caused thyroid cancer, for which she underwent treatment in 2015. The doctors who are currently treating Christina suspect that one cause of this traumatic brain injury is likely connected to her previous cancer treatments.
Thankfully, Christina has been discharged from the ICU and is expected to make a full recovery aside from some minor vision impairments. She is currently on the mend at home, but her period of recuperation will be considerable, and her expenses continue to grow. In addition to the medical costs, Christina will be out of work for 1-3 months in order to heal fully. All donations will cover medical bills and living expenses due to loss of income.
Christina's loved ones will attest that she is a compassionate and loyal gal who'd give the shirt off her back or even the leftover unsullied lobe of her brain to anyone in need. It will come as no shock to her community that even in the face of adversity, she's still cracking jokes and keeping her fighting spirit in the ring. Please donate what you can to help this honey heal and get back on her feet!
