On Thursday August 1st, Christina experienced an accident at her home while cooking dinner for herself. A fire sparked from the oil in her pan. After attempting to put out the fire, it grew too large for Christina to manage, resulting in severe burns to her face, neck, arms, and hands. The injuries are significant and will likely result in considerable scarring. 

She has been receiving care daily from the hospital and her family. She recently had a consultation with a surgeon to assess her wounds. The surgeon will continue to monitor her progress and determine the necessary surgeries once the wounds have healed.

The recovery will take many weeks. During this time, she is unable to tattoo. The most severe burns have affected her right hand and thumb.
