One of our own northern nevada event professionals has had a very bad accident. On July 7th while enjoying some time with family at home, Christina Perry of Quality Events Design was doing what any of us do without realizing it. She was unclogging a bathtub drain and used Drano and when that didn't work attempted to use some bleach.  She could never have guessed that combination creates a deadly chemical and toxic mixture resulting in Chlorine gas.  The chlorine gas quickly filled the bathroom and entered into her lungs causing them to collapse. Her husband found her unconscious, immediately started administering CPR, called 911 and she has been in a medically induced coma ever since. 

My hope is that our community of event pros, photographers, family and friends will surround Chrissy with support and kindness through this horrific accident.  No one could foresee that in the middle of the busiest season, such a tragic thing could happen to one of our own. Any funds will be used to support Chrissy’s family with services, meals, and medical out of pocket costs during this rollercoaster and ensure there is no impact on clients.  I will continue to update as details become available.
