Surgery is complete. Our girl underwent triple bypass and her doctors did have to replace her mitral valve. She is now in recovery in the ICU. Sweet relief the surgery is over…!

UPDATE!

After 12 long anxiety-rid days with limited answers, Christina has been scheduled for surgery tomorrow at 1pm assuming there are no other heart-related emergencies that could bump her surgery time out further...

The plan for surgery is 4-6 hours during which they are going to try to repair Christina's mitral valve and they will be doing a double or triple bypass, depending on what they find. If they cannot repair the valve, she will have to have a replacement valve put into place. Following surgery, Christina will be in the ICU for 2-3 days and will then go to a cardiac floor for another 2-3 days for recovery.

Hi - I am Carrie Dean - a client and friend of Christina’s for the past 6 years. Over the years, I have come to love and admire this hardworking woman who is bound and determined to create a full life for her two sweet babies, Jade and Jeziah.

Those of us who know Christina know she is a fighter and devoted mom. She loves her babies fiercely. She is a tireless helper to her brothers, Eric and Johnny. To her clients, she is deeply committed.

It is now our turn — members of Christina’s extended village of fellow parents, friends and clients — to love on and support her. Christina has found herself in a difficult and scary medical situation. Feeling unwell this past Saturday, she went to Santa Clara Kaiser with extreme high blood pressure. Further tests revealed she has two major artery blockages and will be having double bypass surgery ASAP. She has been admitted and will remain hospitalized for 2-3 weeks. Details of her surgeries are forthcoming. Christina will be off her feet and unable to work for an indefinite period while she recovers. It goes without saying anxiety is very high… any amount you can contribute to help offset expenses is greatly appreciated. There will be a separate link to donate meals and help with the kids available as well.
