Christina Chrysafi was born in the village of Eptakomi, Cyprus, on 12th December 1945. As a baby, she returned to London with her mother, Katerina Agathangelos Takka, her sister, her uncle, and her cousins, settling in Commercial Road.
In 1962, at the age of 16, the family moved to Whitechapel, where Christina began working as a hairdresser. At just 17 years old, she met the love of her life, Christos Chrysanthos Chrysafi. They married in April 1963 and soon started their family, welcoming three children.
In 1968, they moved from Whitechapel to Sylven Avenue in Wood Green, and a few years later, in 1974, the family relocated to Norwich. Two years after that, they settled in Great Yarmouth, where they spent 11 years running their family restaurant.
In 1987, the family returned to London and made their home in Gladstone Avenue, Wood Green, where Christina lived for the past 38 years.
Throughout her life, Christina showed incredible strength, resilience, and love. She faced many health challenges with quiet courage and never once complained. Her strength of spirit and devotion to her family were constant, and she created a lifetime of cherished memories for all who knew her.
