9.11 motorcycle accident

On 9/11/2021 around 9pm, my sisters life was forever changed. Christy was riding on back of her husbands motorcycle when a car suddenly stopped in front of them. She flew off of the the bike. She was flown to the nearest level 1 trauma center and was seconds away from losing her life due to hemorrhaging from her legs. She received emergency surgery and a blood transfusion that night. We are so thankful for everyone that stepped in to help her that night. You all played a role in helping to save her life. 

 

The damage from this horrific accident has left her with a broken back and two broken legs. She will also have metal rods in both legs for the rest of her life. She will need to relearn how to walk as well. It will not be easy, but she will come out on the other side of this and she will walk again.

Christy has undergone 6 surgeries so far! She is healing and has been transferred to a rehabilitation center.  Due  to Covid, she is on a 14 day quarantine. She hasn’t been able to see her 2 year old daughter  or  16 year old son. As you can imagine, it’s been very hard on her. She is definitely missing her babies and husband. 

 

I wanted to make this go fund me page to help her and her husband Jeff. I want her to recover without worrying about paying for the care of her two children.  Christy & Jeff will have to make their house wheelchair accessible along with buying a wheelchair, Walker and a ramp etc for her to come home. 

Also, as you can imagine… her medical bills will be through the roof. I want to be able to let her focus on recovery and not worry about financials. Your donation will also help her husband worry less about finances and more about helping Christy on her recovery.
