Christie tested positive for Covid-19 in late July 2020. By September she was in the hospital, on a respirator, and fighting for her life. She was recently discharged from the hospital after 9 weeks and will be in a long term physical rehabilitation center regaining the strength to sit up and walk on her own. Her kind, compassionate, and spunky attitude along with brilliant mind are still there, but it's going to be a long and expensive road to regain her physical strength. She is a self-employed small-town lawyer and hasn't been able to work since she was hospitalized. It will likely be several more months until she is physically able to work again.
