I am writing to ask those who know and love Christie to help her out this holiday season. As some of you may know she suffered an injury coaching softball early this fall, and as a result, she has been through a long trial of dental and medical complications and interventions. The costs of these interventions as well as missing work because of pain has set Christie back financially, and as we know life in the Bay Area, just a little setback can snowball. You might also know that she is a single mom to two beautiful young kids, and coaching is the sole means of providing for her family. Christie has given so much to the softball community with her time and energy and experience, but also with her creativity, her fun, and her profound love for her players. It has been hard to watch such a strong and positive life-long friend of mine struggle these days.  And she is never one to ask others for help. So I am asking you for her. 

I hope you can join me in understanding how easy it is for a small business owner and single mom to fall behind financially, by no fault of her own, putting her family at risk. While she is pursuing the long road of medical malpractice claims, I am asking if it is in your ability, to give a little (or big) gift to Christie. And together, we can make a big difference in bringing back some security to her housing situation and health needs -- and bring some ease, love, and joy back to  Christie's life this holiday season.
