Christie Hyatt was in a terrible accident Thursday July 20th when the motorcycle she was driving on her way home from work was struck by a truck. She sustained many life threatening injuries and they are fighting to stabilize her enough to address each injury in order of severity with many upcoming surgeries. She has already had her right leg amputated and so much more to face. Her family rushed to be by her side and will be away from work, paying for hotels and food and they are there to support her and love her through this trauma. Christie is a daughter, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a friend and an all around wonderful soul. To know her is to love her. This family is a second family to me as one of her daughters is a long time close friend.
