christians rehabilitation

On November 11th 2019, our son Christian who is 24 years old was in a serious car accident. Where he suffered a spinal cord injury, and broke his C4 ,C5, C6, and C7 vertebrae, he also fractured his T1, T2, and T3 vertebrae. He had surgery on his neck, through the front and back the doctors had to add hardware and did a fusion. He has had a ventilator to help him breathe.
Christian has had air building up in his chest. The doctor thought it might be caused by a pinhole where the breathing tube was in his throat or something bigger that they had to repair. They went ahead and took out the breathing tube to put a scope in to try and find the hole. They were unable to find the cause.  
They have since put in a tracheotomy with the ventilator attached to that, this way he can sit up more and communicate easier.
Christian has pneumonia and mucus in his lungs as well. The nurses have to suction it out through the tracheotomy. He has a fever that keeps coming and going but just wont break.
He has sensation in his legs and feet.  Christian can move his arms; his left is better than the right with movement. With his hands he paws at things and cant grip things yet.  Christian is positive, strong and determined.
 This is going to be a long road to recovery for him.  He is going to need to be in a therapy facility that specializes in spinal cord injuries, which he could be in for months and occupational therapy as well.
We are not sure what the bills are going to amount to, or anything else he might need. It’s only been a week since the accident.  We are just unsure about what’s in store for him.
